Don Thomas

Don served as the principal trumpet of the Fort Worth Symphony for many years. Although he has retired from the symphony, he still continues to play with the Symphony Pops series on a part time basis. He also continues to play in the Casa Manana Orchestra where he has played for many years. Don served briefly as an adjunct faculty member at North Texas State University (now UNT). Don’s artistic trumpet playing has been sought after by many artists such as Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Doc Severinsen and Louis Bellson to name just a few.
