Rick Ritz

Rick plays guitar with the Jazz Monsters and is a graduate of Indiana State University. In college Rick struggled with making a decision between majoring in music or majoring in engineering. In the end he chose electronics engineering and today works as an avionics systems safety engineer for the FAA. But music was always the real passion for this lover of the "six stringed instrument." Rick has played guitar in country, rock, and blues bands but enjoys jazz even more. Rick cut his teeth in jazz with the Vincennes University Stage Band and then with the Indiana State University Jazz Band. In addition to the Jazz Monsters, he also plays with the Dynamic Swing Machine band.
